Frank Krummacher
Frank is a senior lecturer and founding member of the College of Digital Photography in Saxonwold, Johannesburg. Frank is a qualified mechanical engineer, but a life-long passion for photography, teaching photography and inspiring people through it was realised when he joined the then National College of Photography in 2004 as a full-time lecturer.
Frank lives in Johannesburg and makes frequent excursions to Southern Africa’s scenic areas to nurture his creativity. His passion lies in Nature and Macro photography, with a special interest in Landscapes. Teaching Visual Design and how to see is a key ingredient in his photographic instruction.
Frank has made many trips to Namaqualand and the West Coast which are special places to him.
Hansie Oosthuizen
Hansie started his journey as a professional photographer after completing a Professional Photography diploma course. Hansie lives in Hermanus from where he runs his photographic studio. He enjoys teaching and readily shares his photographic ideas and knowledge with fellow photographers.
Hansie is especially fond of Nature, scenic and macro photograhy, but adds that there is a time and place for all kinds of photography. He enjoys using techniques such as painting with light, multiple exposure and time exposures to help translate his visualizations into photographic art. Hansie’s images has been published internationally and has received various awards, including the 2008 Profoto by Sony, Image of the year award.
Hansie’s motto is – Don’t dream your life, live your dream!
